Commemorating the life and work of an American literary giant, the Carl Sandburg Home features 30-minute guided tours, hiking trails, a picnic area and Mrs. Sandburg's Grade A goat dairy. In the summer, the park’s outdoor amphitheater features performances of “The World of Carl Sandburg” and readings from his children's book Rootabaga Stories. The site is located in Flat Rock, approximately four blocks south of Linderwood Park.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Admission to the park is free; Home tour: Adults (17+) $5; Seniors (62+) $3; Children 16 and under are free.
